Fir Nocht (Irish for “Naked Men”) explores the complexities of queer identity, intimacy, and vulnerability through figure drawing. With over 15 years of experience in life drawing, Fir Nocht works primarily with charcoal, chalk pastel, and marker to capture the human form in its rawest expression.
This ongoing project was inspired by conversations and connections formed with queer men on platforms like Grindr and Instagram, where ideas of nudity, anonymity, and desire intersect. Within queer spaces, nudity often carries a duality: while many experience heightened pressures around body image, there is also an openness to sharing intimate images with strangers. Fir Nocht invites volunteers (often first-time models) into a collaborative process, translating casual digital exchanges into intimate, analogue encounters through drawing.
By focusing on the body rather than the face, these sketches preserve anonymity while celebrating individuality. Fir Nocht’s work sits at the intersection of the private and the performative, examining how queer men navigate self-image, exposure, and connection in a digital age.
NADÁ is an artist mainly working in ceramics and interactive installation art.
She is concerned with social, political and ecological themes, most importantly the intersection between the climate crisis and the broader "polycrisis" that we face as a society.
Her current project entitled "CLUB MATRIARCHY" explores the way in which today's society has become excessively patriarchal and this is leading to an imbalance in the world. Guests will be invited to participate in the work and contribute ideas as to how we can imagine a better, more balanced and more equal world.
